Swarathma plans the third album and launch tour across Bangalore, Mumbail, Pune, Delhi and Udaipur!
We’re back with a fresh sound with our brand new full-length release Raah e Fakira, with 8 new tracks that represent the band’s new direction. The songs speak as much of journeys inward as much as songs of social consciousness that the band is known for.
The rest of the album will soon be available on all streaming platforms.
Graphic Novel Artwork Inspired by the Band’s songs:
We’ve collaborated withGhost Animation, a Kolkata based collective of artists and illustrators who created the album artwork as well. The idea is to interpret the songs as stories told through the graphic novel format. In the absence of physical CDs, the band intends to give away the picture storybook as a visual representation of the songs of the album that can form a collectible memory for the band’s fans.
Music Video featuring indigenous sport Dahi Handi
The band tied up with Red Bull to create a music video for the title track Raah e Fakira that tells the story of a young boy who is seeking to fly, but only finds his hidden superpowers via the human pyramid sport of Dahi Handi. Shot in Mumbai in collaboration with an authentic team of Dahi Handi athletes, the band captures the energy of the sport and the inner peace that comes with finding your purpose in life. The music video will be previewed at the launch gigs.
